The classes teach students to crawl, walk, then run. In other words, like any professional sport, skill-acquisition is developed through a tried, and tested proven program (in Australia for more than 40 years).
Mixed Martial Arts?
Many KJR techniques are suited to sports contests, but just as many are not. In its original form this art is not appropriate for sport, but at the high level, although deadly, can be adapted for competition. Our late Grandmaster was a professional wrestler and boxer from 1928-1944. During the course of his wrestling career, several opponents succumbed to his powerful jujutsu throws. locks and strangles. and he was subsequently barred from competition in Asia. He taught jujutsu at his own studios from 1956 until his death in 1990
